About Us

Tahoe Candle originated in Carnelian Bay, Lake Tahoe, in 1997. Owner Craig Davies traveled to Lake Tahoe and northern California. He was selling handcrafted candles at art and craft shows. In 2001, he opened a showroom and candle-making studio in Truckee, CA. (one of the first make-your-candle studios in the country) A couple of years later, in 2004. Tahoe Candle opened a retail store in the historic downtown Truckee. The downtown retail store closed its doors in 2014. Craig switched focus to wholesaling his candles and raising his family in the mountains.

Today, you can still find Craig and his team hand-pouring fine-quality candles. Tahoe Candle is located at 10607 West River St., Suite 3A, Truckee, CA 91616, and partners with its sister candle company, Rescued Wine.
